Having Sportmanship

This week for PB4L we learned about how to show an understanding of sportsmanship.

What is good sportsmanship?  A good sportsmanship is when people who are playing or watching a sport treat each other with respect. This also includes players, parents, coaches, and officials.

What are sport officials? Sport officials is a type of sport, competition, and responsible for the rules of the sports, including sportsmanship decisions.

First, we discussed what good sportsmanship is. A good sportsmanship is when people who are playing or watching a sport treat each other with respect. This also includes players, parents, coaches, and officials. For example : If a girl was playing rugby and other people were watching her they would give her a clap, compliment her on how she played well, respecting her, and other types of kind words. If I was that girl I would feel impressed and happy.

Next, Miss Tele’a explained to us what our task is and what to do after. We had to make a copy of a poster and write down details about good sport and bad sport. For example : I wrote down for good sport, good sport is where someone compliments others of how they have done good or bad. (It doesn’t matter if you lose or win.) Miss Tele’a created a jamboard with examples about good and bad sports. We can make up our own type of words or we can copy the jamboard and add details (it’s up to you).

Lastly, after we finished making and decorating our poster we had to choose ONE of the following tasks. The 3 tasks were to create a slideshow that teaches someone how to be a good sport, create an animation of someone playing any sport, and write a recount about your soccer session with Coach Francis using photos from this folder.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at finishing off my DLO. I need to improve on adding more details into my work because it is kinda basic but I tried my best.
