Dawn Parade

I’ve been learning about dawn parades.

First I read the book and trying to find keywords for the begginning middle and ending.

Next we went to go look for some keywords in the story.

Lastly we wrote the what, where, when, who, why, and how, then we wrote the beggining, middle, and end.

I enjoyed reading this book because it helps me learn about poppies.

Basic Facts

We learned the basic facts to ten.

First we got outside and played a game counting to 1 to 100 going forward and 100 to 1 going backwards.

Next we went to use the sticks to help us with our basic facts.

Then we did our addition and subtraction while using the sticks and typing it onto the slide.

Lastly we did our addition and subraction to ten.

I enjoyed doing this Basic Facts because it helps me remember all of my plus and takeaways. I need to improve of using the sticks because sometimes i mixed them up with lots of diffrent colours.

T-Ball Skills

We learned about different T-Ball skills. The skills we learned were hitting, running, and throwing.

First we practised throwing by playing ball rain.

Next we practised running between the bases by having a relay race.

Lastly we practised hitting. We have to hit the ball on the tee and the other person has to catch the ball before the person runs to the person that’s in a hoop.

I enjoyed hitting the ball with the tee because it’s one of my favourite game.

4 C’s

We learned the 4 C’s. 

First we revised our characteristics of being a team member. We also learnt the 4 C’s of Leadership;. Communication, confidence, collaboration, and cooperation. 

Then we had to pick a Leader who is confident to lead the group. Our two leaders were Mathues and Densyn because they were confident to lead the group.

Next we made a plan and thought of the 4 C’s in our plan. We played a game that we never played before. It was hard because we couldn’t talk.  

Lastly we repeated the game, but one person in the team had to wear a blind fold. The leader of the group had to guide the person with the blindfold to pick up a cone. 

We enjoyed this activity because we learned the 4 C’s. We need to improve our communication skills. We did good on sharing our ideas.

Using manners

Manners are used for showing respect to others.

First we talked and explain about manner as a class.

Next we had to use a website that make a word cloud. You can use manners when someone give something to you or greets you.

Lastly we took picture showing manners. Manners can be showed by listening, eating with your mouth closed, and saying please.

I enjoyed this task because it used words that are nice. I need to improve on saying thank you when someone opens the door. I am good at saying your welcome when someone says thank you.

 

Place Value

We learnt number bonds from 10 to 100.

First we played a game to get the idea of a number bond.

Next we took place value blocks and showed number bonds to 10 to 100.

Lastly we made 3 posters. The first poster was number bonds up to 10. The next poster was up to 100.

I enjoyed this activity because i learnt my number bonds to 10 to 100. I thought i did well at the game that we played. I think i need to improve on making sure i felt faster at saying my number bonds faster.

 

Verb Tense

I learnt the meaning of  simple, continous, and perfect in Verb Tense. Simple, Continous, and Perfect. Simple means a single event that generally happens, Continous means a period of unstopping action, Perfect means a period of time.

First we wrote down sentence that connectes to continous, Simple, and Perfect. For continous we wrote: Alicity was plahying with her friends. For simple we wrote: Brooke trips on the grass. For perfect we wrote: Kaleb and Aj were running around.

Next we took pictures to show each sentence we wrote. Showing Simple, Continous, and Perfect.

Lastly we put up the picture on to the google draw with the sentence next to it.

I enjoyed this task because i learnt how to use verb tense in my sentence.

Summarising

Last week we did a task called summarising the main idea.

First we went to read page to page with my group. When we finish to read page to page we went to answer some question below the last page.

Next we make the keywords into: What, Where, When, Who, Why, and How.

Lastly we summarise each page and look for keywords we use.

I enjoyed doing this task beacause it helps me to know what keyword is and what it means.

Tic Tac Toe

Last week we played tic tac toe with our class and our teachers.

First we gotten into teams and my group of our colour was blue and the rest was red, yellow and green. We had to line up with our colour to start the game when Mr Ogilvie says.

Next we went to diffrent places and talked about our strategy to win or where to put the bibs at to block the other people before they win the game but we had 4 or 5 rounds to end the game before it was lunchtime.

Lastly we had some changes in the tic tac toe game. We added a leader to help us where to put our blue bibs at to block the other group and trying to win  the next round but like winning is not about to win games like cricket, olympics, tic tac toe, or anothor stuff like a game.

I felt really happy but what i needed to do is that i need to improve on moving the bib faster on the next round nex time we play again with our whole class and our teacher’s.
