Hedgehogs

This week I learned about hedgehogs.

First I talked facts about hedgehogs. Me and my group read a story about hedgehogs. For example : What does hedgehogs likes to eat? Hedgehogs mostly eat pests and small animals.

Next I had to answer some questions about hedgehogs. For example : What could you leave out if you want a hedgehog to visit your garden? The answer is that I will leave pests such as slugs and caterpillars.

Lastly I had to create a DLO and make a fact sheet about hedgehogs and put in some questions and answer them by yourself. For example : why does hedgehogs have spikes on their back.

I enjoyed learning about hedgehogs. I did well on answering the questions. I need to improve on adding more questions on the DLO.

Modes of Transport

This week I learned about modes of transport.

First I learned about what is transport? Transport is taking people by vehicle to another place. For example : car, truck, airplane, helicopter, vans, jetski.

Next I learned about the 4 different modes of transport which are Rail, Land, Air, and Sea. I have to write down what I already know about the modes of transport. For example : cars can drive people around on a road.

Lastly I had to search on pixabay pictures of the 4 different modes of transport. I had to attribute the photo, that is, the image, the person who created the photo, the source, and the pixabay licence.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well on what I already know about the modes. I need to improve on adding more words in the 4 different modes of transport.

 

Statistical Investigation Organiser

This week I learned about Statistical Investigation Organiser.

First I had to collect who is better at shooting boys or girls. I have to write down the genders of how much cans they have knocked down and how much boys are there and girls. There is 18 girls and 27 boys.

Next I used online calculator to figure out the answer for divides. For example: 18 divded by 14 equals 1.29. I never knew the answer for the question so Mr Wong told us to use online calcultor to figure it out by ourselfs.

Lastly I drew a paragraph to see whos better at shooting. Usually the boys won because their paragraph went up to 2 and the girls paragraph went up to 1.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well on drawing a paragragh. I need to improve on shooting more cans that has been knocked down.

Badminton

This week we practised how to play badminton.

First Miss White explained to us how to play badminton. I have to hit the shuttle with a racket.

Next I played a warm up game. I have to hit the shuttle with a racket and we had to flip the racket while hitting the shuttle.

Then I played another game called name game. We went into a circle and the person that’s in the middle has to call out someones name and the person that was called has to hit the shuttle with a racket and say another name.

Lastly we played piggy in the middle using a shuttle and racket. The person on the left or right has to hit the shuttle with the racket but if the person in the middle catches it with the racket. The person that hitted the shuttle with the racket has to go in the middle.

Inferring

This week I learned about inferring

First Miss White was reading a book and showed us what to do. She wrote down I can see So I can infer on a piece of paper. For example : She has written down a sentence that was part of the book and explanied what it is or what they are doing.

Next I went on a document that is called I can see… So I can infer… I had to read a book and write down a sentence that is part or simaliar to the text in the book.

Lastly I read a book called The Drama. I had to write down what I can see… So I can infer. For example : Can you tell me where you shelve your… translated japanese graphic novels. I can Infer that she is at the libary.

Rhyme Poem

This week I practise how to write a poem using rhyme.

First I had to write a rhyme using ing, ig, at, and ack. Miss White gave us another example of what to write with our poem. For example : the poem can’t have the same sentence at the end but it has to be the same rhyme at the end of the word. I had to change mine because I had the same word at the end of the sentence.

Next I had to make another poem using ing. For example: The King gave me a ring. But I aready had a ring that looks like the king. So the King told me something. But I said to the King to not talk about everything. But the king said he’s going to replace my ring. The ing at the end of the sentence is a rhyme.

Lastly I had to find some pictures and insert them in my poem so they can understand what i’m talking about. For example : If I was talking about a ring they might get coufused because there are lots of kinda words that are ring. So I put on pictures so people can understand what poem i’m talking about.

This type of poem is ing because it’s part of the rhyme.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at presenting infont of my group. I need to improve on presenting my poem infont of everyone.

Skit Structure

This week I learned how to write a Skit Structure .

First I had to write down a message about our skit structure. The message for our skit is to be confident and face your bully.

Next I had to write down the 4 different type of skit that has to be a part of the skit structure which are the message, the characters, and the settings. For example : the characters should be Ida, she is a mean girl who always bullies Diola everyday and Diola, she is a nice girl who is kind to others and cares.

Lastly I had to write down a script about the message. For example the bullie should say “Hey you!” and the person whos getting bullied would say “What do you want Ida..” that is a example of what I might say for our script.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at explaning about the message. I need to improve on practising more of our script.
