Water Cycle

This week I learned about the water cycles and the 3 types of matters.

First I had to learn about the 3 types of matters. It was solid, liquid, and gas. Those are the 3 matters of water cycle. For example: Solid would be a matter of ice, Liquid would be a matter for water and Gas would be steam.

Next I had to label the different stages of the water cycle using the terms at the bottom of the diagram. For example : Source of heat is the sun because it talks about the heat and the source.

Lastly I had to use the commenting tool to explain what the different stages are, and what stage of matter the water is. For example : comment Precipitation.

 

Train Transport

This week I learnt how to design transports.

First I learned the 3 transport which are land, rails, and air. I had to design this in my own imaginary.

Next I had to pick a transport. The transport I picked was a Train because it goes on land and rails.

Lastly I picked the train and designed the train. Then I had to title the train and label the train. For example : the front window.

I enjoyed making the labels. I did well at making the train. I need to improve on learning more about the transports.

Explanation About Train Design

This week I learned how to Explanation About Train Design.

First I had to pick any vehicle that is part of air, sea, land, and rail. I chose a type of train because it goes on rail.

Next I had to draw a train by myself on a google draw. I had to also desgin the train and label the parts that’s on the trains which are the wheels that goes on rails, flash light, the front wheel, the side windows for people to look outside while the train is moving.

Then I had to introduction what i’m gonna say. For example : I chose to create a vehicle shaped as a train but has things to go on rail & land. My vehicle has car wheels and my vehicle has windows for people to look at and a front window for the passengers to look at while driving. The train has buttons to activate them. 

Lastly I had to write down an explanation about how does it helps society. I written down : This vehicle helps society by going on rails and lands. My train, which is shaped like a train, has buttons to activate the wheels and the door as it stops at the train station. My train has doors for people to come out of the train when the passenger is in the right direction for the people who want to go. 

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at explanation. I need to improve on explaning more about the train that goes on rails & adding more label onto the train.

Rails

This week I learned about rails.

First I had to talk about what is a skateholder. A skateholder is when they gain money from the technology. Invested in the technology and made a monetary gain.

Next I had to get into groups of 3 or 4 and explain what skateholder are and how trains benefit on a piece of paper.

Then I had to research facts about trains. For example : Mallard’s cab had a dynamometer which should how fast the locomotive was travelling and recorded the speed on a paper tape.

Lastly I had to make a google slide and research or write down the facts about trains. I also have to attribute the picture.

I enjoyed learning about trains. I did well at researching facts about trains. I need to improve on finding a better picture.

Pros and Cons

Sea transportation is when they take people somewhere.

Pros for ship is : you wake up every morning in a new place, they’re great for families, they can be very affordable. and they’re easy, convenient, and relaxing.

Cons for ship is : you don’t get much time at each destination, they’re terrible for the environment, and they’re not quite all-inclusive.

Pros is advantages and cons is disadvantages.

Modes of Transport

This week I learned about modes of transport.

First I learned about what is transport? Transport is taking people by vehicle to another place. For example : car, truck, airplane, helicopter, vans, jetski.

Next I learned about the 4 different modes of transport which are Rail, Land, Air, and Sea. I have to write down what I already know about the modes of transport. For example : cars can drive people around on a road.

Lastly I had to search on pixabay pictures of the 4 different modes of transport. I had to attribute the photo, that is, the image, the person who created the photo, the source, and the pixabay licence.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well on what I already know about the modes. I need to improve on adding more words in the 4 different modes of transport.

 

Skit Structure

This week I learned how to write a Skit Structure .

First I had to write down a message about our skit structure. The message for our skit is to be confident and face your bully.

Next I had to write down the 4 different type of skit that has to be a part of the skit structure which are the message, the characters, and the settings. For example : the characters should be Ida, she is a mean girl who always bullies Diola everyday and Diola, she is a nice girl who is kind to others and cares.

Lastly I had to write down a script about the message. For example the bullie should say “Hey you!” and the person whos getting bullied would say “What do you want Ida..” that is a example of what I might say for our script.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at explaning about the message. I need to improve on practising more of our script.

Story types

There are 4 types of stories: myths, legends, fairy, and fables.

Myths: explains what the world is.

Legends: is superheros. For example:The immortal snake – this story is bout a person who saved her husband’s life because she loves him. The immortal snake was in her husband’s life and he started to turn into a magical snake.

Fairy Tales: is a stories that is fake. For example: Rahi and the Patupaiarehe – This story is about saving lifes and kidnapping. Tawhirimatea is the god of the wind. Ti Ara was kidnapped and started to go high into the air.

Fables: is to teach people a lesson. For example: The Leap at Rhodes – this story is about a man who bragged about his leaping ability. Then the people challenged him.

Myths, legends, fairy tales, and fables are types of stories.
