Recount

This week I learned about what recount is?

First I learned about what recount is? Recount tells someone something what just happened. For example : your friend and your other friend had the food first.

Next I learned about the 3 different languge feature which is needed in a recount which is past tense, adjective, and time connections.

Then I had to find the 4 words we need which is title, reveal, events, and ending. These are also the words we need for tree in a sentences. I have to highlight the title purple, reveal red, events blue, and ending green.

Lastly I had to find the past tense, adjective, and time connections in a google doc which is called Recount Exempler. For example : drove is a past tense word which I highlight in light blue.

I enjoyed looking for the 4 different languge. I did well on highlighting the words. I need to improve on finding more languge feature.

Rhyme Poem

This week I practise how to write a poem using rhyme.

First I had to write a rhyme using ing, ig, at, and ack. Miss White gave us another example of what to write with our poem. For example : the poem can’t have the same sentence at the end but it has to be the same rhyme at the end of the word. I had to change mine because I had the same word at the end of the sentence.

Next I had to make another poem using ing. For example: The King gave me a ring. But I aready had a ring that looks like the king. So the King told me something. But I said to the King to not talk about everything. But the king said he’s going to replace my ring. The ing at the end of the sentence is a rhyme.

Lastly I had to find some pictures and insert them in my poem so they can understand what i’m talking about. For example : If I was talking about a ring they might get coufused because there are lots of kinda words that are ring. So I put on pictures so people can understand what poem i’m talking about.

This type of poem is ing because it’s part of the rhyme.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at presenting infont of my group. I need to improve on presenting my poem infont of everyone.

Rythm Poem

This week I learned about how to write a poem using rythms.

First I had to write a rhythm using ing, ig, at, and ack. Miss White gave us a piece of paper and alphabet to figure out our rhythm.

Next I had to write down ack which is part of the alphabet. For example : back, dack, hack, smack, rack, snack, crack, whack, mack, tack, track, and quack. Those are the words that is from the rythm.

Lastly we had to go on a google draw of how to write our own poem. For example: I saw the King and he got me a ring. So the King told me if I can sing. But I told the King if he can sing. But he couldn’t sing.

This type of poem is ing ecause it’s part of the rhythm.

Rhymes

This week I learned about the 4 different type of rhymes.

First Miss White shared a DLO that we had to do a matching rhymes. The DLO was about matching the rhymes of the sentence which was on the DLO.

Next I had to finish the DLO and make a new one explaning about the 4 different rhymes.

Lastly the four different rhymes are Consonance, Alliteration, Perfect Rhyme, and Assonance.

Consonance – is like agreement. For example: Mad and men, Dad and dig has the same letter in it.

Alliteration – is when there is a same letter in a sound. For example: dump, dame and damp, meter, miter and metric, mile, mole and meal.

Perfect Rhyme – is a repeating vowel. For example : sat cat and mat

Assonance – is when it is  between a sound nearby word. For example: hat, spat and bat.

Persuasive Speech

I learnt how to write a speech.

First I got into groups of 5 which was Kane, Gianni, Kaysorn, and Alicity. Our rubric was about our expression, loud clear voice, eye contact, and knowledge of the speech.

Next I got up and said my speech to my group. My score was 2 for expression, 2 for loud voice, 2 for eye contact, and 2 for knowledge of speech.

I enjoyed this task. I did well on my loud clear voice. I need to improve on giving eye contact to my group.

Persuasive Planner

The structure of a persuasive speech is OREO.

Opinion is when you think about an idea for the topic like PBS should pick up rubbish, that is an opinion.

Reason is the back up for the opinion.

Explanation is telling examples about the reason for example it helps the animals by staying away from the disease?

Persuasive Planner

Narrative Planner

This week I did Narrative Planner.

First I wrote a plan about a little girl talking to strangers. This is a plan for a flim.

Next I had to write down a Title, Orientation, Problem, Events, and Solution.

For title I written : the little girl talking to strangers.

For Orientation I written down: The little girl was talking to a stranger outside.

For problem I written: The little girl was found by her parents.

For events I written down : A little girl was walking the streets but her parents found her when she was in the woods.

And for Solution I written down: Her parents saved Ida and got sent back to his parents and lived happily ever after.

Lastly I had to write a story about it. What I written down for my story is: Once upon a time there was a white car and a woman inside the car. A little girl called Ida went up to the white car and they started talking to each other. Then her parents came back from work and told her to not talk to strangers because there are dangerous people out  so don’t talk to strangers Then their parents asked what the woman looked like. Then Ida said she looks like your friend Lila. She was wearing a red jumper, grey t-shirt and black and white pants and some earrings. Then her parents said really I think I know who it is right Charles. Charles said omg I know what you mean. Then they went to work in the morning at 6pm and when they got to work they told their friend if they got a white car. Then one of their friends said yes. Then the parents were like uh okay. The next morning the same women came back and said Ida but Ida ignore it because her parents said to not talk to strangers because dangerous people. But when Ida’s parents came back from work again they asked her if she talked to any strangers and she said no because she listened. Then her parents told her if she wants to go to the mall and they live happily ever after. THE END
