Basic Facts Boxes

This week I learned about Basic Facts Boxes v2.

First I had to pick a subject. For example : +, x, and -.

Next I had to figure out the answer in my head by not counting on my fingers.

Lastly I had to check the answers to see if they are correct.

Formal letter

This week I learned about formal letter.

First I had to discuss with my group about what is formal letter. Formal letter is : A formal letter is writing a business letter to someone or like a person who is not your friend.

Next I had to write a formal letter on a document. I had to write down a fake address, the date, a greeting, paragraph, closing of letter, and a signature.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at matching the letter. I need to improve on showing the mix christmas letter closer to the screen to see.

Summarising Template

This week I learned about what is summrise and what is keywords.

First I read a book called Goldilocks. I had to talk about why goldilocks go inside the house? For example : Goldilocks went inside the house because when she knocked on the door no one answered so she went inside the house and ate the tiny bowl wiht porriage.

Next I had to discuss with my group about the question that is on the document. For example : Should she have fixed the chair.

Then I had to write down 20 important keywords on a document. For example : Porridge, hot, cold, found, bears, goldilocks, middle size, big, small, knocked, beds, chair, climbed, wait, upstairs, hard, soft, growly, forest, and he.

Lastly I had to create a poster explaning what is summarising is. For example  : Summarising is to say or write it in fewer / less words.

I enjoyed reading the book. I did well at explaning what is summarising. I need to improve on explanning more about goldilocks.

Informal Vs Formal Letters

This week I learned about different styles between formal and informal letters.

First Miss White gave us a mix up christmas letter to figure out where it belongs. I had to put the sentence together in the correct place.

Next I had to take a photo of the mix up christmas letter. I also had to label the sentence that are on the piece of paper which are the, address, paragraph, date, the greeting, signature, and the closing of letter.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at matching the letter. I need to improve on showing the mix christmas letter closer to the screen to see.

Shot Put And Discus

This week I learned about discus and shot put for hpe.

First Mr Wong taught us how to stand side on, point to where I am aming. For discus I had to make a shelf on my hand to hold the discus. I also had to do chin, knees, and toes.

Next I had to copy Mr Wongs moves to know what I have to do. I had to start off by pointing where I’m going to throw at.

Lastly I had to let go of the cone when I do the chin, knees, and toes. When I let go of the cone I had to stand up and face on the left to throw. I also had to say let it fly at the end of the action.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at doing the action. I need to improve on saying the sentence or word.

Running Time and Distance

This week I learned about running time and distance.

First we had to create a sheet about our running time and distance.

Next we had to grab a LS1 phone and a measure tape to record the time and to record the distance.

Then we had to figure out where to measure the distance to 4m, 6m, 8m, and 10m. I had to run past the cones. In 4ms I got 1.39 seconds.

Lastly we had to go on the court and start running. Each person from each group has to record the person that is running past their cone. When we start the timer they have to stop the timer after they went past their cone.

I enjoyed doing this task. I did well at running. I need to improve on running faster.

Rails

This week I learned about rails.

First I had to talk about what is a skateholder. A skateholder is when they gain money from the technology. Invested in the technology and made a monetary gain.

Next I had to get into groups of 3 or 4 and explain what skateholder are and how trains benefit on a piece of paper.

Then I had to research facts about trains. For example : Mallard’s cab had a dynamometer which should how fast the locomotive was travelling and recorded the speed on a paper tape.

Lastly I had to make a google slide and research or write down the facts about trains. I also have to attribute the picture.

I enjoyed learning about trains. I did well at researching facts about trains. I need to improve on finding a better picture.

SSR Selfie

This week I read a book called Smile.

First I had to read 15 or 14 pages of a book. I read 14 pages of a book called smile.

Next I had to open a google slide and select on SSR Selfie – Ficton.

Then I had to write down what happened in the story so far. For example : Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there’s still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly. Raina’s story takes us from middle school to high school, where she discovers her artistic voice, finds out what true friendship really means, and where she can finally . . . smile.

After I had find 2 different type of topic which is, who are the author or illustrator of the book, and who are the main characters.

Lastly I had to list three new words with the meanings in my words. For example : Headgear – I think headgear means embarrassing headache. I also had to find a picture of the book on google.
